We spent International Women's Day doing field work in Kokhana, one of the oldest Newari villages just outside of Kathmandu. It was one of the most clear days so far.
Nagarkot is known for its panoramic views of the Himalayas. Although it was foggy during our weekend visit, the sun came out during our hike. Fresh air and good company are wonderful together.
We visited ICIMOD knowledge park outside of Kathmandu, which is described as "a supermarket of sustainable technologies for farmers and policymakers". The farm was beautiful.
Bhaktapur is one of the Kathmandu Valley's kingdoms. We toured through the ancient buildings being rebuilt post-earthquake, a paper factory, the pottery kilns, and the city's Durbar Square.
