Annapurna: sunrise at Poon Hill

Watching the sunrise over the Annapurna range from Poon Hill is an iconic Nepal moment. It was foggy the day we hiked up in the dark from Ghorepani, but still absolutely worth it.

Annapurna: Marpha

Another stop on the Annapurna Circuit, Marpha's beautiful monastary makes it a destination for many people passing through. 

Annapurna: Tukuche

Our week-long village homestay was in Tukuche, between Niligiri and Dhaulagiri peaks on the Annapurna Circuit in Mustang District. With host siblings, we walked through the apple fields tucked into in the mountain between two major rivers. Despite howling wind and freezing temperatures, I took several starscapes from our roof.

Annapurna: Jomsom

A day-long bus ride and a 10 hour jeep ride on path generously called a road delivered us to Jomsom, the district headquarters of Mustang. We spent a day doing fieldwork beneath Mt. Nilgiri.
